WHAT IS SECOND CHANCES? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Second Chances” is a program sponsored by the City of Norfolk and operates under the umbrella of the Garden of Hope, CDC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We help formerly incarcerated men and women by providing comprehensive support services that lead to their success after incarceration. The program is designed to assist non-violent offenders and formerly incarcerated individuals with transitional support services that lead to economic and social stability and healthy lifestyles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We serve non-violent individuals living with the stigma of being labeled an ex-offender. Individuals having difficulty with employment, housing, substance, addiction issues, and other systematic barriers are able to obtain a positive re-entry experience into society. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

WHO IS ELIGIBLE? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

• Ex-offenders ages 18 years old and up <\/li>
• Norfolk residents with a verifiable address <\/li>
• Ex-offenders with non-violent backgrounds <\/li>
• Persons who are drug-free for a minimum of 90 days or who are willing to commit to a substance abuse treatment plan <\/li>
• Persons who have no pending charges or court appearances <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
