Effective 10/11/2026

This policy describes how Garden of Hope Community Development Corporation (“Garden of Hope,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects and uses personal information through gardenofhopecdc.org. It covers website inquiries, student and family program inquiries, volunteer inquiries, email communications, and donations initiated through our website. Information we collect

Student and family program inquiries.
Our student-interest form asks for a parent or guardian’s name, the student’s name, email address, phone number, student grade level, city, type of interest, and a message about the program. These details help us respond to inquiries and discuss the appropriate next steps. Submitting an interest form does not by itself complete enrollment.

Volunteer inquiries.
We collect the contact and interest information you provide and your availability, including available days, preferred times of day, and how frequently you would like to volunteer. We also receive any other details you choose to enter in the volunteer form.

Website usage information.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Depending on its configuration and your browser or consent settings, Google Analytics may process information such as device and browser details, approximate location, pages visited, referral sources, and interactions with the site. Cookies or similar technologies may be used for this purpose.

Donation information.
Donations initiated through our website are processed by Square. Square collects the information necessary to process your donation, including payment details and information you provide during checkout. Garden of Hope may receive donation records and donor contact information made available by Square. Please review Square’s privacy notice for its handling of payment information. Please avoid entering Social Security numbers, full payment-card details, medical records, or other highly sensitive information in general website messages. Contact us if your inquiry requires an appropriate way to provide sensitive information.

How we use information

We use information to:

Email and service providers

Embedded YouTube videos are also provided by Google. These providers process information in connection with the services they provide. Their privacy notices explain their own practices. Providers may process information outside your state or country.Information may also be disclosed when required by law or valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security concerns, or threats to safety.

Cookies, analytics, and embedded videos

Our website and third-party features may use cookies or similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and embedded media.YouTube videos may send information to Google, such as your IP address, device information, and viewing activity, when the embedded player loads or you interact with it, depending on the player configuration and your settings. Google may associate activity with your Google account if you are signed in.

You can manage cookies through your browser and use any privacy controls available on our site. Blocking cookies or third-party content may affect some features. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on; its availability and coverage depend on your browser and the analytics implementation.

See our Opt-out preferences page for the controls offered by the website. Browser settings and analytics opt-out tools do not necessarily prevent every form of information collection.

Children and student information

Garden of Hope serves youth and families. The student-interest form is intended to be completed by a parent, guardian, or other authorized adult. Please provide student information only when you are authorized to do so.

If you believe a child submitted personal information without appropriate adult involvement, or you want to ask about information relating to a child in your care, contact us at office@gardenofhopecdc.org. We will review the request and determine the appropriate action under applicable requirements. The collection of information about a child from an adult is distinct from a child submitting information directly.

Retention and security

Information may be retained while needed to respond to inquiries, coordinate participation, maintain relevant records, or meet applicable obligations. Retention can depend on the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, and the systems involved. Contact us to ask about retention or request deletion of a particular record.

No website, email service, or online storage system can guarantee complete security. Please use care when deciding what to send through online forms or email.

Your choices and requests

You may contact us to ask about information you have provided, request a correction or deletion, or stop receiving optional email updates. Reply to an update email to request removal, or write to office@gardenofhopecdc.org.

We may continue to send communications needed to respond to an active request or address a service or donation matter. We may need to verify your identity and, for student-related requests, your authority to act for the student. Some records may need to be retained for legal or other applicable obligations. Additional rights may apply depending on where you live and the laws that apply to Garden of Hope. We will review requests under those requirements.

For information held independently by Google or Square, you may also need to contact that provider directly.
